Traveling and bringing home photographic memories is my motivation.  This website is for sharing the memories with old and new friends.  Photos can be purchased if you feel that one of them would have a place in your home or office.  Website images are low resolution to deter theft and will not display sharply if viewed larger than 4" x 5 1/3.

I have always delighted in nature.  In retrospect, it might have been better had I gotten a biology degree rather than one in mechanical engineering.  Photos through November 2003 were shot with Nikon N90s cameras, Nikon lenses and Fuji films.  From the beginning of 2004 until May 2005, all shots used Nikon D100 cameras, Nikon and Sigma lenses.  In June 2005 I began using the Nikon D2x cameras.  Some land photos starting in August 2006 were taken using the Nikon D200.  Late 2007, I obtained the new Nikon D3 and D300 and a lot of new Nikon lenses, which I use exclusively today.  A D3x was obtained in late 2008.  A Nikon D300s was added to the camera case August, 2009.  The D3x will be used underwater starting in 2009.  All underwater shots were made by housing the Nikon cameras in Nexus underwater housings.  A variety of single and double strobes have been employed underwater.  Currently I use an Nikon SB800 strobe in an underwater housing and an optic cable slaved strobe.  I had an art show in November 2003 at the Quartermaster Building of Fort Concho in San Angelo, Texas (the former San Angelo Museum of Fine Art).
